Gold Quills – The International Association of Business Communicators
In 2007, Forte’ won the Gold Quill Award of Merit from the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC). The award was in the Communication Management division for its fundraising efforts for The Jimmie Hale Mission. Forte’ concepted and created all the elements for the client’s debut fundraising breakfast, Consider the Possibilities. The client received over $530,000 in cash and multi-year pledges in one day. In 2008, Forte’ achieved the most prestigious award from the IABC—the Gold Quill Award of Excellence. Out of over 1,200 entries from 20 countries, Forte’ was one of only 50 of all worldwide entries to receive this honor. This was for The Jimmie Hale Mission’s 2008 Consider the Possibilities fundraising event where the client received over $300,000 in new pledges and cash in one day. See the Work.
American Advertising Federation ADDY Awards – Birmingham & Regional
More and more, Forté is making its presence known at local and regional advertising competitions. In the past three Birmingham Addy award competitions, Forté has been recognized for our work on behalf of The Jimmie Hale Mission, NeedCo – The Cabinet Company and Summer Classics respectively. In 2010, our efforts on behalf of the Jimmie Hale Mission garnered two regional Addy awards.
Birmingham Magazine’s ‘Advertising Gives Back’ Program
In 2008, Birmingham Magazine invited all area agencies to create and submit one, full-page magazine ad promoting the nonprofit organization of their choice. The ads were judged for creativity and effectiveness, and the Top 6 ads were published, one per month, in Birmingham Magazine. Forte’s submission not only garnered a Top 6 ranking, but also won the ‘People’s Choice’ and ‘Most Effective’ awards. See the Work
American Advertising Federation PEAK Awards
The American Advertising Federation honors individuals in specific categories each year who’ve achieved and made a difference in the companies, for their clients and in the local advertising community at large. His peers honored Forte’ Founder and President, Jamie Warren, with the “Ad Man of the Year” award in 2008.
Birmingham Business Journal’s “Top 40 Under 40.”
Each year, this publication picks the top 40 people who’ve distinguished themselves as the city’s business elite before their 40th birthday. Forte’s Jamie Warren was honored to be named to the 2009 class of “Top 40 under 40.”
Birmingham Regional Chamber of Commerce Small Business Awards
Each May during “Small Business Week,” the Chamber awards owners of privately held companies with the ‘Small Business Person of the Year’ awards. Forte’s Jamie Warren was honored to be named a finalist in 2008.
